Definition: Prejudice
Is a preconceived, non-objective opinion that is not based on reasons or own experience
As it is already described in the definition, prejudices are unfair and unreasonable feelings or opinions that are often established without enough thought or knowledge. Often and especially in history, certain ethnic groups were confronted with non-objective thinking and seen as scapegoats [dt.: Sündenböcke]. People who hold lots of prejudices are often one-track minded, which means, that they have got a fixed thin-king about one particular thing and there is only one way to do so. Instead of building up their own point of view, people tend to insist on prejudices and refuse to look at a situation objectively.
